Semi-Mastic Emulsion Dampproofing for Below-Grade Masonry

BULLDOG® Semi-Mastic Emulsion Dampproofing #41AF is a heavy, brush- or spray-grade asphalt emulsion coating for exterior masonry surfaces below grade. Made with asphalt, water, and fillers, it can be applied to dry, slightly damp, or new masonry without heating or thinning.

Built for Exterior Masonry Dampproofing

This coating is used as a dampproofing compound on below-grade exterior masonry. It may also be used as both a base coat and a surface coat with a reinforcing membrane embedded in the coating.

Application Guidance

Apply BULLDOG® Semi-Mastic Emulsion Dampproofing by brush or spray at a rate of 3–4 gallons per 100 square feet (1.2–1.6 gallons per square meter). Apply at 50°F and rising. No heating or thinning is required before application. Do not apply when the coating will be exposed to freezing temperatures or rainfall before it has dried thoroughly. Dry time at the recommended application rate is approximately 24 hours. Wait 48 hours before backfilling. Keep the product from freezing during storage. Clean tools with mineral spirits or BULLDOG® #99 Asphalt Remover.
